Graff Search are delighted to partner with this leading technology and data-based organisation in the search for an EMEA Director of Data Privacy Counsel.
The organisation is a global business, although UK headquartered.
This is a key appointment for the firm and will involve you operating at the knife-edge of the data science industry servicing a multitude of sectors from consumer, FMCG, retail, technology and manufacturing. This organisation are doing things around machine learning and AI you’ll expect to find in some of the largest tech firms in the world.
The Opportunity
Working within a team of Data Privacy lawyers, you will lead on complex, business critical Data Privacy matters affecting the business on a global scale, whilst partnering with some of the leading FTSE/Fortune 250 firms around the world.
This is a broad and varied position, and in addition, you will also lead on a number of project-based (Non BAU) work initiatives.
This is a permanent appointment, reporting to the Head of Data Privacy, who’s also on the board. Hybrid working model and a six-figure salary, plus excellent benefits and competitive bonus.

About You
- Qualified lawyer – ideally 10+ years, although other PQE levels will be considered.
- Experience of working within complex Data Privacy environment and being a proactive leader within the privacy sector.
- Experience of working within a technology-based industry would be beneficial, although not essential.
- Experience of working with global teams based in different jurisdictions.
- Proactive, can do attitude with a commercial mind.
- Capable of making own decision and taking initiative.
